Terms and Conditions

By booking or renting a vehicle from Alain Car Rental, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Eligibility to Rent

• The driver must hold a valid driving licence

• Minimum driver age may apply depending on the vehicle

• An international driving licence may be required for tourists

2. Booking & Confirmation

• All bookings are subject to vehicle availability

• A booking is confirmed only after confirmation email or payment (if applicable)

• Alain Car Rental reserves the right to refuse a booking

3. Rental Period

• The rental period starts and ends on the agreed pickup and drop-off dates and times

• Late returns may incur additional charges

4. Vehicle Usage

• Vehicles must be used responsibly and in accordance with Mauritian laws

• The vehicle must not be used for racing, illegal activities, or off-road driving unless authorized

• Only authorized drivers may drive the vehicle

5. Payment & Deposits

• Payment methods include online payment or pay at pickup (if available)

• A refundable security deposit may be required

• Any fines, damages, or additional charges will be deducted from the deposit

6. Insurance & Liability

• Basic insurance is included unless stated otherwise

• The renter is responsible for any damage not covered by insurance

• In case of an accident, the renter must inform Alain Car Rental immediately

7. Fuel Policy

• Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as provided

• Missing fuel may be charged at an additional rate

8. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellation policies depend on the booking terms

• No-shows or late cancellations may not be refunded

• Refunds, if applicable, will be processed via the original payment method

9. Breakdown & Assistance

• In case of breakdown, contact Alain Car Rental immediately

• Unauthorized repairs are not allowed without approval

10. Fines & Violations

• The renter is responsible for all traffic fines, parking violations, or penalties incurred during the rental period

11. Termination of Rental

Alain Car Rental reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement without refund if the terms are violated.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Mauritius.
